the goldwing really sucks for long distance riding
shoes wouldnt think it would but the seat is kind of wide and hurts the insides of your legs after a bit.
i think the fact that shoes cant lean contributes also but no way i would take it on that long of a ride.
i'd take the shadow.
andrew and i could cruise in the back so we werent holding anyone up!
the shadow only has 4 gears.
hey andrew shoes get your front brake fixed

That suprises me about the goldwing, typically the wider the seat the more comfortable it is on long rides. I went from the stock narrow seat on the sportster to a wider touring seat (about 14" wide). Isnt the shadow geared slightly different? I bet it will still maintain a cruising speed of 60 on the highway

Yeah when I got back home I looked at an online diagram and popped the pad back in. Long story short, like Thiel used to say, I left my disc-lock on as I was riding away and the force popped my front pad out. Seeing as how it just sits in position, I doubt there's any lasting damage. Been riding meow a couple weeks and seems fine. I wish shoes would have filmed it, would've been sick. REAL sick. Actually what's sick is I paid a lot of money for a service contract when I bought my bike, and am meow realizing that the stupid stuff they do is about as easy to DIY. The hardest part would be the vlaves probably.
