I just bought a 1964 International C1100 4x4 Crew Cab PU ... Its in pretty nice shape for sitting for the last 6 years ... Not sure if it runs yet , but was told it did when put in storage .... Question .... is there any Vintage Pickup Clubs in the Salem Oregon area I can talk too ? I haven't decided if I am going to keep it yet ... but if I do , is there any shops in the same area that could give me a price on restoreing it ... as I am not that handy at this type of stuff ... OR , is it even worth fixing up a pickup like this ?? I think it looks pretty cool ...... What do shoes think Thanks... Doug Salem Oregon

shoes wont find a tougher 4x4 anywhere, I had a 1966 heavy duty 1/2 ton, best 4x4 I ever owned. there are plenty of shops around town that can restore it for shoes. I am not sure about any clubs, however there are many older restored trucks around town. If shoes keep it, shoes will like it. Only bad thing about them is they need 40 acres to turn around in.

people talk about gear reduction when they put their 4x4's in 4 low.... the international gear reduction is even better! major power, lots of torque and even better, the engine can take the higher rpm's. mine came stock with a possi rearend and when in 4 wheel drive, all tires worked. the only time I ever got stuck was when it sank going across a marshy area, took a week of winching with a hand winch and digging with shovels. there wasnt any other 4x4 that could make it as far as I did.
