My jeep will be running this week. been getting more stickers to put on. every sticker is representative of some modification to the jeep (a couple are from the buggy however) and i got my valve cover powder coated last night along with the water neck and timing cover. should go rather quickly meow!!! and if anyone needs something powder coated (small things) i will do it for the cost of the powder with the proviso that i keep the remaining powder and parts must be CLEAN - minimal or no bead blasting required. but it has to fit in a conventional oven. i havent tried doing wheels yet but i think they'll fit.

so i'm immobilized again but only for a short while. i'll be swapping front axles as mine has abunch of problems adding 1.5 inches to the back and 2 inches to the front and TJ flares which are already done on the front. heres some pics of flexing before the flares and extra lift.

ITS BROKE AGAIN!
i think it's the timing chain in which case i expect a replacement from a: summit or b: cloyes, in addition to compensation for tearing the engine apart again to replace it.
if its a rod i'm just going to build a stroker.... YEY
but i think its the timing chain.

good news and bad news. the bad news is the stroker is on hold for an unknown amount of time. the good news is that after pulling the distributor cap and turning it over i've come to the conclusion that my suspicions were right and it is the timing chain. so that will be fixed before the Sand Run. and i pulled it around my work a little today from building to building and had to get a picture.

for those of shoes that like to look at engine blueprints here's the two options i'm looking at for stroker build first with the rods from a 4.2 and second with the stock 4.0 rods and custom pistons ($$ouch$$)
